This first volume introduces the early stages of musical learning, focusing on discovering the instrument and establishing basic bow and left-hand techniques. The activities include open strings, basic rhythms, bow hold, détaché, training the left-hand fingers (1, 2, and 3), and reading notes across all four strings. This second volume focuses on advanced bowing techniques and includes exercises to develop bow division, slurs, string crossings, and double stops. The left-hand technique progresses with lowered and raised finger positions, including the use of the 4th finger. Scales in these new positions are introduced, and students are encouraged to compose their own tunes in the new key. Harmonics are also explored to improve bow control and prepare the left hand for shifting and higher positions.

The third book revises the skills introduced previously and includes new left-hand techniques and bowing skills. The focus of left-hand technique in this volume is on shifting to the 3rd position and becoming comfortable playing in this position. Harmonics, left-hand pizzicato, and double stopping are also introduced through fun challenges. Strategies for approaching and practicing songs are presented to facilitate learning and guide students towards efficiency in their practice. Velocity finger exercises are included to develop finger action and should be practiced with a metronome.
